    1. Art Basel Announces Gallery Participants for Inaugural Paris+ Fair

Art Basel has announced the galleries that will participate in its inaugural Paris+ fair, which will take place in Paris at the Grand Palais Éphémère from October 20 to October 23, with a preview day on October 19. The fair will feature 156 galleries, including the world's four largest galleries: Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, Pace, and David Zwirner. Other galleries participating in the fair include Sadie Coles HQ, Paula Cooper Gallery, Xavier Hufkens, Taka Ishii Gallery, David Kordansky, Kukje Gallery, LGDR, Lisson Gallery, Thaddaeus Ropac, and White Cube. Of the 156 galleries participating, 61 are based in France, including Kamel Mennour, Mor Charpentier, Templon, Perrotin, Almine Rech, and Sultana. In addition to the main galleries section, the fair will include a section called Galeries Émergentes, featuring 16 solo presentations by emerging galleries such as Antenna Space, Carlos/Ishikawa, and Instituto de Visión. The fair will also include a program called Sites featuring 25 installations in the Jardin des Tuileries outside the Louvre, as well as a Conversations series organized by Paris-based curators Pierre-Alexandre Mateos & Charles Teyssou at the Bal de la Marine. The Paris+ fair will be the first fair held by Art Basel following a major organizational change, which saw the appointment of Vincenzo de Bellis as the new director of fairs and exhibition platforms, who will oversee Art Basel's four fairs and report to the company's global director Marc Spiegler.
